Wuthering Heights & Jane Eyre news....

I'd like to open this new blog by bringing you two items of news regarding the new movie adaptations of 'Wuthering Heights' and 'Jane Eyre'. Firstly, the latest film version of Emily Bronte's classic is to be directed by Andrea Arnold ('Fish Tank', 'Red Road'). As yet, there have been no casting annoucements, since both Gemma Arterton and Natalie Portman departed from the project. Such a problem doesn't extend to the latest in a long line of adaptations (film & TV) of Charlotte Bronte's celebrated novel. Two more casting announcements have arisen: Mia Wasikowska ('Alice In Wonderland') is to play the main character, whilst Holliday Grainger ('The Scouting Book For Boys', 'Bel Ami') has been cast as Diana.
